Clothing and workstations
The demo argument is that you are cold, the coat on the floor will not go on, and the bench you need breaks. Those are three reports. They do not add up to a recipe.

What I checked
I read the “unable to equip clothing” thread and the developer reply on the destroyed workbench. The status screenshot shows empty gear slots, a Warmth bar and a Cold Resistance row. I can see the UI. I cannot see a crafting cost for a coat.
Clothes you find versus clothes you make
The clothing thread says items of clothing in the world are scrap. Only pieces the player crafted would go into the gear slots. A feedback post says the clothing slots felt unusable, which lines up with that complaint. No author posted a stable bill of materials. Leather shows up as loot on the deer screenshot, next to deer meat. I will not turn “leather +2” into a coat recipe.
Stations, cold, and the wrench
A developer reply on a stuck-crafting thread says workstations have durability and a makeshift wrench repairs them. A different thread says cold accelerates that wear and that a smaller room holds heat better. The store text already says heat is survival and that you add crafting stations as the train grows. It does not name the wrench.
The assembly station, which is where rifle stocks are fitted, is a different bench. It is on the rifle-stock page.

How do you craft clothing in the Frostrail demo?
Players say you must craft it, because world clothes are scrap. No official ingredient list is posted.
Why won’t clothes equip?
The Steam thread says found clothes are not wearable gear. Crafted clothes are what they could equip.
How do you repair a workstation?
A developer reply says workstations have durability and a makeshift wrench repairs them.
