Frostrail troubleshooting
Crashes, a grey Start button, and a missing resolution slider are different problems. The long ones have their own pages. The short ones are here, each tied to a thread.

What I checked
I read the threads about the Start button, the four-character server name, the missing resolution option, fullscreen mis-alignment, instant crashes, and controller support. I did not reproduce them on a PC.
The demo will not start
Two threads describe the same gate: if the server name is shorter than four characters, Start stays grey. People thought the demo had ended. The fix they report is a longer name. That is a player-found rule, repeated in more than one thread, not a line in a patch note I can quote.
Resolution and fullscreen
A thread asks where the resolution option is. The replies say the demo does not have one. Another report says fullscreen shoves the image off the monitor and the UI no longer lines up. No official slider location is posted for that build.
Crashes, controllers, and the words people search
One thread says the game crashes as soon as the level loads. It does not include a GPU or a driver version I can turn into advice. Controller support: the demo thread says the build has none, and the April 2025 FAQ says a pad is planned and is likely missing at Early Access. Those are consistent, and they are still not a binding map.
“CT” shows up in search with no official console command attached. The mods page says what the FAQ actually promised about consoles and mods. Pause and vanishing items are long enough to leave this hub.
